See You In the Clouds: The 420ish Festival Was A Hub For 757 Music, Art and Cannabis

Last weekend in Portsmouth, Virginia the first annual 420ish Unity Festival was held at the Portsmouth Sportsplex. The two day event took place on April 23rd and 24th and included an extensive lineup of headlining acts such as City Girls, Rick Ross, Trina, Shaggy, Movado, Barrington Levy, Spice and more. Outside of bringing major headliners to the area, the festival also provided a platform for local performers and vendors to network and showcase their talents.

During the festival Blckheartsclub had the opportunity to sit down with several of the artists and vendors for our “420ish Festival Interview Series” available exclusively on the BHC Youtube channel. Interviewed artists include Sammy Daleo, Bobby Blaze, and more. A special unity interview composed of several 757 artists and creatives in which we discuss the state of the VA music scene is also available for streaming on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

As the weekend ended it was clear that the 420ish Unity Festival accomplished exactly what it was designed to do. The event was well attended by participants and all scheduled headlining acts performed as promised. It has been confirmed that due to the events success, the event will be returning next year.
